Illangasekare to discuss porous media systems at Art Corey Lecture

Tissa H. Illangasekare, AMAX Endowed Distinguished Chair of Civil and Environmental Engineering and Director of the Center for Experimental Study of Subsurface Environmental Processes at Colorado School of Mines will deliver the Art Corey Lecture Oct. 9.

Illangasekare will give a talk titled “Experimentation for Understanding of Energy, Mass and Momentum Across Porous Media Interfaces – Challenges and Opportunities” at 6 p.m. in the Scott Bioengineering Building Jud Harper Auditorium (room 101). The event is free and open to the public. A reception will follow.

Launched in 2015, the Dr. Arthur T. Corey Distinguished Lecture Series is inspired by Professor Emeritus Arthur T. Corey, whose research focused on flow of immiscible fluids, with applications in groundwater hydrology and soil physics.

RSVPs are required, as space is limited. Register here.
