The University is set to honor the 2,300-plus students who have navigated the challenges of 2020 and 2021 to earn degrees.
Returning decades later as commencement speaker for the college he graduated from is a "once in a lifetime" opportunity for which Dickinson expressed deep gratitude.
“When times were hard, I always convinced myself to pull through. This helped not only in computer engineering but also in my computer science major where continuous learning is essential.”
"I have always made it a point to push past my comfort zones and actively participate in presentations and outreach events, and I am proud to say that my classmates have always been exceptionally welcoming and great to work with."
Dickinson is a four-star general in the U.S. Army and a 1985 alumnus of the Walter Scott, Jr. College of Engineering.
The University is set to honor the 2,300-plus students who have navigated the challenges of 2020 and 2021 to earn degrees.
The virtual experience begins at 10 a.m. Friday, on the Commencement website, and features a speech by alum Kareem Rosser.
CSU will host a ceremonial walk across the Oval during the week of April 5-9 to celebrate and honor the University’s Spring and Summer 2021 graduates.
Graduates enjoyed a week of glorious weather to celebrate their accomplishments after a particularly challenging year.
