The study entailed critical evaluation of the U.K.’s current method of calculating methane emissions, and suggested alternative, peer-review based methods and generating revised emission estimates.
CSU researchers led by Daniel Zimmerle, director of the CSU Energy Institute's Methane Emissions Program, are co-founders of the new Energy Emissions Modeling and Data Lab, headquartered at The University of Texas at Austin with additional partners at Colorado School of Mines.
The conference on detection, measurement and mitigation technology for natural gas emissions will take place Sept. 25-26 at Colorado State University.
